Keryn Zambrowski represents NSW at the Women in Resources National Awards

Whitehaven was incredibly proud to see Keryn Zambrowski from its Investor Relations team representing NSW as a finalist in the Exceptional Woman in Australian Resources category at the Women in Resources National Awards earlier this week.

The awards ceremony, hosted by the Minerals Council of Australia, is the industry’s premier national event showcasing the contributions of women to the Australian resources sector.

Keryn was joined at the event by Whitehaven CEO, Paul Flynn, Board member Nicole Brook and other members of the leadership team.

Mr Flynn said it was a fabulous achievement for Keryn to be recognised alongside other top talent from across the country.

“It was great to be able to celebrate this occasion with Keryn, her partner and other representatives from Whitehaven and the Board,” he added.

“Keryn has made a material and positive impact on our business, leveraging her experience and diverse background to enhance our investor engagement.

“Importantly, she hasn’t just excelled in her own career, but she’s also played a prominent mentoring role within our business – particularly in support of other young women looking to forge a career in mining.”

Keryn has been with Whitehaven since 2014, having originally joined the Marketing team before making a successful transition to Investor Relations over the last two years.

“She is a fantastic example of someone who has taken control of her career and pushed herself to continually grow and develop new skills, which is something I encourage everyone to strive for,” added Mr Flynn.

Speaking after the event, Keryn said she was extremely proud to represent NSW and Whitehaven at the Awards.

“The cohort of finalists were impressive and to be part of this group was a win for me,” she added.

“Having Director Nicole Brook, CEO Paul Flynn, and Sarah Withell and Mike Van Maanen from our ELT take the time to attend and support me was such an honour.

“I could not ask for better support and encouragement than what I have experienced from the ELT and management during this process.

“I look forward to supporting the next generation of women in mining at Whitehaven.”
