Whitehaven’s support for International Women’s Day

Whitehaven’s Diversity objectives and commitments include “local community and industry initiatives to promote (gender) diversity”

In line with this commitment, and to help promote International Women’s Day, Whitehaven Coal provided support for a White Ribbon event in Narrabri. White Ribbon is Australia’s only national, male led Campaign to end men’s violence against women.

We sponsored ultra marathon runner Kirrily Dear who successfully ran 860 km through Western NSW to raise awareness about White Ribbon and violence against women. We provided support as Kirrily ran through Narrabri, then to Boggabri before heading to Tamworth.
