We take great pride in our long-standing links with the local communities, including the fact the majority of our workforce live in the local areas within which we operate, and we are pleased to support a range of charities and community organisations.
Our Community Relations team meets regularly to consider requests for donations, sponsorship and gifts in kind, which provide benefit in the following areas:
- Health
- Education
- Whole of community
- Representative level Indigenous sport
Applications outside of these areas will not generally be considered for support. Unfortunately, due to the high level of interest, we are unable to support all requests. Any decision made by Whitehaven Coal concerning funding or gifts in kind is final.
