Whitehaven Chairman Mark Vaile said: “The Board would like to thank Rick for his significant contribution to the Company during the three years he has served as a Director and wish him well in his retirement. During the time Rick has served on the Board, Whitehaven has achieved significant milestones in which Rick made a strong contribution at Board level. From the increase of production at our Narrabri underground operation to the development of our world-class Maules Creek asset. Rick has contributed to the success of these projects.

“We are delighted to welcome Julie Beeby to the Board as an independent non-executive Director.
